We met Ian & Jen back in September at the Curradine Barns in Worcestershire (http://www.curradinebarns.co.uk/), we ran through the details for the big day and they told us all about their honeymoon plans to Iceland to see the Northern Lights (wow, this one is definitely on my list of things to do)!
This was our first time at the barns and it instantly struck me as a warm, intimate venue, a lovely mixture of old and new in a fabulous rural setting. We shot Jen's sister's wedding back in 2012 and when I looked back to that day there are so many things that stood out for me, such as the hints to the Bride's Scottish roots and the brilliantly warm and funny speeches. So with a fabulous venue and a host of familiar faces, we just knew we were in for a great day!
Jen continued with the family tradition of the Scottish theme; tartan ribbons adorned the flowers and favours, there were beautiful blue thistles in the brides bouquet and the gents from the brides side wore their Scottish finest, I do love a kilt at a wedding!
We captured some beautiful shots around the grounds with Jen & Ian, the weather was so kind to us considering it was the end of November! These two were just too cute....
And this one just rounds off the day perfectly for me. When the party was in full swing and their guests danced and celebrated the night away, Ian and Jen had this moment, I get the feeling that they'd forgotten for just a few seconds about everyone else around them as they embraced, a perfect moment in time!
