Madeley Court Hotel Wedding Photography
Wedding of David & Kellie
Kellie is an old work colleague and friend of mine, so when she asked me to photograph her wedding at Madeley Court Hotel, I was ecstatic to be part of her big day, its always nice to know you're going to hit it off with your couples from the outset. I went over to Kellie and Dave's new pad and we caught up over a cuppa and a few albums! It's been a while since we've seen each other, we worked together nearly twenty years ago, back in the days when we were young, free and living for the weekends (which probably started on a Thursday!) They were the days before real-life responsibilities, when our weekends were more about hot pants and house music, than homework and housework, and our Sundays consisted of lazy lie-ins rather than kids football and preppin' for the week ahead! They were the best of times!
So on the morning of the wedding, photographing the bridal preps with Kellie and her two bridesmaids was just like catching up with friends. The morning was relaxed, I even had a cheeky prosecco myself, not something I normally partake in when I'm working, but Kellie you're a bad influence!! :o) Kellie was in her dress an hour before the wedding so we had plenty of time for some lovely portraits. One of my favourite moments was the big reveal to Kellie's step-dad, his face was a picture, see below!
Those of you that know Kellie, will understand when I say that Kellie is an inspirational lady and walking down the aisle to meet her gorgeous, besotted and very tearful beau David, was a very emotional moment for everyone. Kellie you looked stunning and how you held it together so well when David was crying his little heart out, I'll never know. Such a beautiful ceremony with truly heartfelt words from the lovely registrar.
The whole day was wonderfully relaxed, we squeezed some couple shots in pre-Wedding breakfast and then got outside once the sun had gone down to showcase the couple in the grounds of the beautifully lit Madeley Court Hotel by night.
I always say its the people that really make a wedding and this one will go down as one of my all-time favourites! Looking forward to catching up with you soon Mr & Mrs Dickens, want to hear all about the honeymoon! xxx
