Style & Approach
I'm a people photographer, so as I photograph your day, I'm not just looking to capture the traditional wedding moments. I'm looking for those things we can't recreate; genuine emotions and feelings portrayed in a single expression or touching glance, perhaps an unexpected funny moment (I've seen quite a few of those!), you know, the ones that you will ultimately talk about for years to come or perhaps the one's that you missed because you were too busy having the time of your life. I do love a good wedding, don't we all? I'm quite girly, so I enjoy seeing how a wedding comes together and I love photographing the details that make your wedding unique to you. But what really makes a wedding unique are the people, so I want you to have a collection of photographic memories of you and your guests that you will hold dear for a lifetime and that you will want to show friends and family for generations to come. And so, we work hard at every wedding, and afterwards, to produce beautiful timeless images that will always make you smile. We spend a lot of time together on your wedding day and so its important that we connect; I always like to meet in the first instance so you can get to know me and my style a little better, view some sample albums and chat about your wedding day in a bit more detail. And although we are close throughout the wedding day, I don't want to be intrusive, so we try to blend in, mingle with the guests and grab as many natural shots as possible. The Wedding Day...
On a Full Day Wedding shoot, our day starts around 2 hours before the ceremony with the bride getting ready and we stay with you and your guests through to the first dance. We'll also stay a little beyond that time to capture you partying the night away. We won't hold you to a finish time, its more important that we get the photographs that you want to tell the story of your day. Throughout your day there will always be myself (Jo) and a second photographer to capture all the moments as they unfold from every angle! There's certain points in the day when its crucial to have that second pair of hands (pre-ceremony when bride and groom are usually in different places, throughout the ceremony, assistance with group shot arrangements, provision of extra lighting when necessary, the list goes on....) We won't charge you extra for this, a second photographer is standard with all of our packages.
If you're not so fussed about the getting ready shots, and you're just looking for the main part of your day to be photographed, then our Half Day pricing may suit you better. Half Day starts with Bride's arrival at the venue and runs through to the start of your meal, if you choose to do your speeches at the beginning of the meal, we'll also include these too. Coverage in the Half Day option includes; Bride's arrival at the venue, Ceremony, Group Shots as specified by you, Bride and Groom couple shots, bags of natural shots, a mock cutting of the cake (as this is usually done in the evening), the Wedding Breakfast room & details shots and as mentioned above, we will also cover your Speeches if these are done at the beginning of your Wedding Breakfast meal.
We offer a Digital only package or an Album package (all available in either a Full or Half Day option) to suit all budgets, please contact us for a tailored quote.
